Open Application: Technical Support Talent Pool

Keep the world's finest superyachts connected — faster, safer, more reliable internet wherever they cruise.

Want to help build a better internet at sea?

About the role

At NEGU, support is central to our mission: keeping the world's finest superyachts connected with faster, safer, more reliable internet — wherever they cruise.

Our globally distributed technical support team keeps complex onboard networks and satellite systems running around the clock, delivering fast, thoughtful solutions with deep technical skill and a genuine service mindset. We're building a talent pool for support engineers who've worked on the front lines of connectivity, reliability, and security — and who care about solving real problems, not just closing tickets.

Why join the talent pool?

We don't wait for the “perfect timing” to connect with great people. By joining our talent pool, you'll be the first to know when new roles open, and you'll already be on our radar when they do.

What sets NEGU support apart?

We're not a ticket queue. When a yacht loses connectivity mid-Atlantic, there's no “have you tried turning it off and on again.” Our Technical Support Engineers:

  • Own technical problems end-to-end, from the onboard network to the satellite link
  • Act as trusted partners to captains, ETOs, and management companies
  • Work autonomously but never alone, with senior engineers who have your back
  • Solve challenges that span satellite communications (Starlink, VSAT, 4G/5G), onboard networking, performance tuning, and security
  • Understand that discretion and white-glove service matter as much as technical skill

Is this you?

You'll likely thrive here if you have 2+ years of experience in technical support for maritime connectivity, satellite communications, networking, or related technologies. Experience with yachts or time at sea is a plus — not a requirement.

Join the talent pool

You'll likely thrive here if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support for maritime connectivity, satellite communications, ISP/network operations, or related technologies (e.g., VSAT, Starlink/LEO, 4G/5G bonding, or network security services)
  • Familiarity with DNS, routing, firewalls, secure tunnels, SSL/TLS, and WAN failover/load balancing
  • Debugging experience with tools like traceroute, curl, MTR, iperf, etc.
  • Working knowledge of onboard network hardware — routers, switches, access points, and antenna systems
  • Understanding of cyber security best practices in production environments
  • An analytical problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail — and calm under pressure when a vessel is offline
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills and ease working with captains, ETOs, and crew as comfortably as with engineers
  • A continuous learning mindset and genuine care for clients

Bonus points for: Time spent at sea or in the yachting industry, or hands-on experience with Starlink Maritime, Peplink, Kerio, Fortigate, Checkpoint firewalls or similar systems.

What's in it for you?

We're remote-first, mission-driven, and serious about supporting the people behind the connection.

You'll work with a high-trust, global team that values autonomy, continuous learning, and doing things the right way — the same standard our clients expect on the water. We invest in learning, well-being, and shared success with meaningful benefits and a culture that puts people first, whether you're troubleshooting from home or alongside a vessel in Antibes.
